Toytota with what appears to be a toyota land cruiser front suspension.

It has been awhile since I have been on these forums because of a very serious motorcycle wreck. I got on today for my son, who works 60-70 hours a week. He has a 98 toyota that appears to me to have a suspension from a land cruiser. He asked me to find out some information about it, and see if I can get him the parts information for his struts, and rear shocks.

If someone can point me in the right direction, supply me with a link, or offer me any other help I might need I would appreciate it.

Pardon me if it seems a little lazy on my part, but I am taking care of my wife full time as she prepares for yat another major surgery in pursuit of being whole again, if it is even possible.

While I hate to admit it, I am on opioid pain relief, and putting off surgery to my neck until my wife is recovered from this next surgery. My ability to find anything is pretty shitty at the moment. I will try to find the info again and get my son to try to send photos. It appears as the suspension is off a land cruiser. I do remember reading here before that some folks had made that conversion, but I do not remember where I saw it.

By the way, my son works in vegas as a millwright. They are short a man, so he is working a ton of overtime, otherwise he would be all over this. I am 140 miles away, so I can just go out and get pictures.

I believe the Land Cruiser had a solid front axle, not IFS like the 4R If someone did a SAS, it may not be super simple to find parts without knowing where the swapped parts came from. Pictures are a must.

We’re known to put lc front coils on the rear of our rigs for lift. I’m understanding of your situation, click on the 3rd gen forum, the first 3 threads are stickys. Best to ya

Will you tell us exactly what you're after? By "it appears to have front suspension off of a land cruiser", are you talking about a solid front axle with trailing arms?
Since you mentioned a conversion, I'm guessing it's more in depth than just a coilover replacement.
If the rear suspension isn't anything custom, shocks from an 80 series Lamd Cruiser can be used, and I can get you the part number for those shocks if you'd like.
To help with the front, I need more information. Pictures would help tremendously.

I just found what I need in the sticky. I said landcruiser when I meant tundra front cont coils.

I feel like a dope, from the dopes for pain. I have lifted several 3rd gens. Rebuilt several dozen engines, and own an 87 extended cab PU, a 94 Pu, and 2001 4runner, but right now, I find it hard to type, navigate the forum, or even use the fsm...It will get better, but right now life kinda sucks.

Thanks, I suspect you have been here before or know someone who has been. Sometimes just the interaction on a topic can get the brain cells firing in order again. Other times, its like I am lost in space...shit, I never liked drugs recreationally for just this reason.

It is not a conversion from a 4runner, I believe it is coil over lift utilising the Tundra springs, and F80 rear coils, but I am not sure. I know what to direct my son to look for. He has money, so I might just tell him to do a full replacement using one of the aftermarket systems. Whatever he does, it will be here in my shop. I am trying to get ahead of it, give him options and have the parts gathered so he can do it quickly, with minimum time off from work.

Right now, for me, it is like learning all over, what I have done, and even written about.

Dude you gave him the most basic n00b answer instead of asking for photos or trying to ask about other truck coils. No, it wasn't disrespectful...but when a man is in need of help, and you "politely tell him to f*ck off and read stickies" basically - it's noticeable.
