MY dads 94 3.0 5speed starts up and runs fine for about the first 10min, after it warms up it starts to sputter, ive noticed black smoke out of the exhaust (indicating that it is running rich) and eventually it dies and will not restart till it cools off. our initial thought was that the motor was stuck in the cold start loop, but after replacing all the temp sensors and switches (every thing in the back of the motor basically) it still does the same thing. The only other symptom is the fact that recently he started to get poor heat. Could a bad thermostat be blocking coolant from reaching those temp sensors? or water pump perhaps (also the tps sensor and maf sensor have been replaced) Any suggestions much appreciated
