i wouldnt go JDM i got my replacment 3.4 from a local yard with a matching odometer of 110,115.6 for 900$
local is better and its gauranteed and if it is bad you dont have to pay an arm and a leg to ship it back, or pay a 20$ restocking fee.

Are you considering a swap? I'd buy a whole truck so that you've already got all the stuff on the fenders and the harness bits and whatever else is sure to come up...

Toyotacarpart.com has 5VZE long blocks for $1995. I have dealt with these guys, and they have good stuff--this is all they do, rebuilding the 22RE, 3VZE, and 5VZE, and have done so for years. They have reasonable shipping and good warranties. They're out of Colorado Springs. They also have many parts, new and used/rebuilt for these engines, plus a few parts trucks, etc.. A long block means you supply the valve covers, intake, and all externally mounted parts from a donor.

This is the only way that I would ever do or suggest anyone attempt to do a swap. Having the two trucks in the same spot at the same time and basically having a huge parts store parked beside you, makes the job a lot simpler.

Not sure if i could snag a busted up 3.4l 3rd gen. But ill sure try. That's why i put it up on here to get feedback, ya'll have treated me very well. Not sure if i can pick up a busted up full truck out of a yard for a decent price though :/ Though i do suppose it's best to get the whole truck, just not sure how i can get ahold of it. For junk yards can you just ask them when they get shipments in and just purchase the whole truck? All i need is the front end in shape obviously, the backend could be junk for all i care.

That'll work. Or watch your local classifieds/craigslist for a part-out, if you're not in a huge hurry.
If you need one soonish, your best bet is going to be auctions. But don't just walk in there and bid on a truck, because if you win they'll stick you with freight and agent fees and who knows what else. Find a small used car dealer, tell him you're looking for a cheap/wrecked/salvage title 5vze truck, tell him how much you're willing to pay him for it, and let him go find it.
