Tweaked Hood...

I bought an '04 Limited V6 a little over 2 months ago now, and honestly couldnt be happier with my choice, except for one nagging problem. when I bought it, the dealer showed me the Carfax, which logged one front-end collision, $800 in damage- new bumper and headlights, with reported frame damage to the bumper brackets, which I dont care about because I will be putting a steel bumper on shortly.

My concern is, when I got it insured, my agent emailed me back and asked what had happened with the three accidents it had been in. 3?? I was pissed. They showed me their report, which logged two more claims, one for about $4,000, and one for almost $9,000. The breakdown showed that most of those payments went for personal injury to the other party in the wreck. so probably cosmetic repairs to my T4. My agent knows his stuff, and wasn't too worried, if it drives tight and the mechanics look clean, which they are. However, when I was looking the truck over yet again, I noticed that the hood is tweaked a bit and up front when its latched down, the hood overlaps the passenger side headlight weather gasket, maybe 1/4', maybe a little more. Just enough to piss me off now that I see it.

So I suppose my question is; how easy would it be to straighten out the hood, and how worried should I be about those insurance claims? I'm taking it to an autobody shop to give er a once over tomorrow morning, but I'd like a few opinions from you forum people. What do you think? It drives like you would expect from a Toyota, alignment is dead on, no fluid leaks, etc. I am thinking that it was- A) fixed in one hell of a repair shop, or B) pretty minor stuff, maybe a few new panels, paint, plastic, etc.

I'm not exactly sure based on your description in what way your hood is tweaked but the hinges do have elongated holes which allow for some adjustment of how the hood sits.

As for the previous accidents. When did they happen? I'd be concerned if they were recent but if it's had a fair bit of mileage put on since the accident I wouldn't be too worried since most of the bugs have probably been worked out, especially if it feels and drives good
