USB Drive on Entune

Hello,
I know others on here have had various results using an external USB for music. I have created a directory called MUSIC and placed individual directories within with various music someone need on mood.
For the life of me, i can't seem to get the system to play a specific directory. It recongnizes all the content within but let's face it, ACDC followed by Bach doesn't hang well.
Has anyone figured out how to get directories recongnized?? I couldn't find a specific answer to this.

What year and model? On the 2014+ entune (not sure about the JBL) the stereo does not recognize the order of the USB files. It reads the ID3 tags and organizes them by artist, album and title.

You can play by album or Genre if you have your playlist broken down that way. My system recognizes Genres and Albums with no problem. It sometimes won't jump from one album to the next, it just keeps playing the same album over and over until you change it., but at least it's not Bach to KISS. By the way, the JBL in the wife's Highlander does the same thing with the same flash drive.

I have a 64gb thumb drive that is full (A decent amount of music) and I don't have any issues. I like it because I can still use my phone without any issues or sound over my speakers. I also don't have to worry about using data, or buffering or losing signal when I go to the mountians.

Use a program like MP3tag and organize your music

Or use bluetooth.

This is the hot setup, I created a folder named MUSIC and drug songs into it directly from iTunes. I then moved the folder on to one of the newer (tiny) USB drives, plugged it in to the truck and changed the source to USB. Definitely sounds better than Bluetooth.

I recently picked up a 128gb USB tiny little thing and moved all my music (MP3) into the disk (~12gb), no folders since Entune sorts it for me...

Here's the rub, only a small selection of it all is available? Miscellaneous albums from random artists with no rhyme or reason. It is the same albums every time, not like it only sees so many at a time, then changes. I have rechecked the drive a few times, the music is still there, the machine is just not reading it.

This is wild and I cannot figure out why, even looking through the forum.

Any help would be great, maybe a reformat or something but I hate the thought of dumping it all to try again...

The inability to view folders is very frustrating. I have a lot of DJ sets and individual tracks that I place in folders together for very specific reasons. This "feature" really limits my ability to use the usb drive.
