V8 Limited with XREAS?

So I've done a little research.

Apparently, depending on region, dealers have the option of one of two packages for the V8 4x4 Ltds. Option Combination #A is the same in both regions.


In Southern California, ZIP 91709

Option Combination #B $4,090
- 50 state emissions(FE)
- Daytime running lights(RL)
- Driver & passenger curtain & side airbags & slideable sunvisors w/illumination(GY)
- JBL Synthesis AM/FM/ETR/Cass/CD w/10 speakers & Navigation System w/back-up monitor(NV)
- Power tilt/slide moonroof(SR)
- Rear Spoiler w/center high mounted Stop lamp(RF)



In Maryland, ZIP 21921

Option Combination #B $4,540
- 50 state emissions(FE)
- Daytime running lights(RL)
- Driver & passenger curtain & side airbags & slideable sunvisors w/illumination(GY)
- JBL Synthesis AM/FM/ETR/Cass/CD w/10 speakers & Navigation System w/back-up monitor(NV)
- Power tilt/slide moonroof(SR)
- Rear Spoiler w/center high mounted Stop lamp(RF)
- X-reas shock absorbers(NH)


Which royally sucks. You'd think that S. CA with all it's summer whether, dealers would tend to order the XREAS system. These packages can be found on www.toyota.com if you go to the "Build Your Toyota" section.

So looks like I would have to special order.


Doesn't all Toyota's arive at port in California and is dispersed to North America from there? Shouldn't it be as simple as me getting a willing CA dealer to get one the East Coast configured V8 Ltds packages?

Will work on this and let you guys know.

Try Nor Cal dealers too.

I haven't looked lately but I'm sure if you phone some dealer in the 95125 Zip area, you will find an LTD with XREAS.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I've already tried this. The NorCal region seems to get them configured only 1 way and that is the same Package #B option that Socal gets.

I thought I saw 05 LTD with XREAS on their lot when I had my last service done.

That's a good idea and I've actually considered it....

But...there are many other luxuries that come with the limited that aren't available on the SE...power seats, vanity mirror lights, 115AC service, heated seats, leather inserts in the door panels.... and so on.

Those little items are worth the $4k extra to me.

Also, are you sure the SE has larger front brakes? I don't see reference to that anywhere.

ummm.....my family's SE has power seats. that is why we got a SE, my mother doesnt like leather and had to have power seats. and the SE is the only one that has both cloth and power seats.
