Vibrating @ Idle

Hey guys, just got my new '07 4Runner SR5 4WD (V6), and I love it. Just one quick question.

When I'm stopped, doesn't matter if it's in Park, Reverse, Drive, whatever, as long as I'm stopped and the engine is on, I feel a slight vibration in the steering wheel and a little bit on the floor board (basically all over). As soon as a start moving, I don't really feel it, and it drives great.

The engine seems to be running great. I've heard a few people say don't worry, that's normal for that vehicle, but I wanted to make sure that my new baby is ok. It has less than 1000k miles on it!

I can live w/it so long as nothing is really wrong...

Is it as smooth as a Lexus v-8? no. Can I tell the engine is idling by feeling? yes. Is yours like mine? Maybe.

Let the engine break in first. If you're not satisfied, talk to your dealer about it.

Cars always seem to idle rough at some point, even new ones.
It's very unlikely that something is actually wrong with the truck. There are a lot of variables that could affect how well the fuel is burning at that time, and certainly you'll notice it the most when the vehicle isn't moving.

I've found that it sometimes helps to try different gas, either by stepping up a level in octane in the same brand or by changing brands.

There has been a few threads posted up about this PITA vibration. Some say its the exhaust system hangers. I was able to alleviate my problem by messing around with the heat shield above the muffler. It is made of some cheap looking aluminum/asbestos material. Looks like glorified tin foil to me. I took it off and the noise went away, go figure.
