took my 4runner out mudding, used 4wheel drive in various conditions. Went through a fairly deep watery area..came out with a flat. I thought, no big deal.
The problem was the jack didnt want to lift my truck due to sandy wet dirt. I needed something substantial to put under the jack. Found some thick limbs and made it happen but I made a point to carry a good stout piece of lumber just in case the unexpected happens again down the road.

That is okay to have, but it is likely a projectile waiting to be launched. I use what is available in nature to perform the same task as a the piece of wood. Been there done that.
