Ill start this post off with the back story:
I Called 4Wheel Parts and ordered ProComp 7105's and made an appointment to have my tires taken off the factory salt eaten wheels and put on the new 7105's.
I show up, drop off my keys, wait a few HOURS, and finally they are done. After I pay, they tell me to be sure to re-tighten the lugs after 50 miles. The wheels may become loose during the break in period. I agree and sign the receipt saying they told me about it. then i hear, "ohh by the way, we stripped a wheel stud, its only 1 so its not a safety risk, bring it back and we'll fix it" i'm like well that sucks but ok whatever... I leave and go home.
The next day after work, I don't want to drive down there in rush hour traffic so I tell them i'm coming in Friday. On my way home guy in a blue taco pulls up next to me at a light and signals me to roll down my window, he says my rear right is wobbling and looks like its out of balance. I keep my window down and slowly drive the final 1/4 mile home. I get out and go look at the wheel, everything looks fine aside from the fact the all 6 lugs are at different depths around the wheel. Im like, ****! I should have tightened them earlier. I push on the wheel and sure enough its loose as hell, without the truck being jacked up i can push the wheel back and fourth and it moves over an inch. I get out the lug wrench and try to tighten them. They wont move, in OR out! all 6 frozen solid. I go to the other side and try to loosen them as a point of reference and cant get them to move either. I call 4WheelParts tell them my wheel is lose and i cant tighten the nuts because i'm afraid ill break the studs. They tell me to get it down there ASAP so they can fix it. I'm pissed tired and its late so i tell them ill bring it down tomorrow.
My girlfriend follows behind me as i limp down the road super slow, she sees how bad its wobbling and decides its not safe to drive 20 miles (or any miles for that matter) on a wheel that loose so I crawl into the Toyota dealership which was right by the house. I tell them my story, they take it in on a dolly. My girlfriend takes me home. A few hours later Toyota calls be back "when we took the lugs off that wheel and all the studs broke right off" I had a feeling that was going to happen because when i tried to tighten them i knew they were frozen. They also said that all the other lugs were also very tight and they might have to replace all the studs
The guys at Toyota ended up replacing all 6 studs on that hub and because i didn't have any spare gorilla nuts that fit in the procomp wheel, they had to put my spare tire on with the original lugs, which I luckily still had. 400 some odd dollars later i thank those guys for helping me out in a pinch and go home.

I go in with the bill from Toyota and a bag of 6 lugs with studs snapped off stuck inside them and drop them on the counter. I show him the wheel and explain there was no way i was driving down to them to fix it with it in that state and that i had no choice but to take it to Toyota to have the work done. Now I work in design and production and understand things happen, I just want to know why this happened and what they did to cause it. They disappear into the shop for 15 minutes and are back and fourth between my truck and the shop. They acknowledge the problem and tell me to leave the truck with them for 3 days, i reluctantly agree. They make a copy of the Toyota receipt and Im off.
A few days later I show up to pick it up. They ended up replacing another 10 studs. Their conclusion was the way the lug nuts sat in the rim caused a false torque reading on the air ratchet and they over torqued them. I put one of the lug nuts in the rim to see how it fit and it looked fine to me. I cant tell if this is BS or not. They look like standard Gorilla locking lugs M12 x 1.5
Does anyone else have 7105's? Im wondering what lugs your using or if you had any problems with them not seating correctly?
