New wheels (same as stock 17")

Billstein 5100s all around set at 1.75 in front
New FJ Cruiser Coils all around
1" Cornfed Spacers in the rear

I don't want any rubbing

ha i suppose you are right. this is really my first major mod and i've had it since 2010 when it had only 30,000 miles. kind of strange to be investing into a nearly 10 year old vehicle with 150,000 miles but hey she should last another 150,000!

Brand new FJ coils all around

Billstein 5100s all around set at 2.5 in front

Cornfed 1.5" spacers in rear

What tires can I fit without rubbing?

I'm not exactly clear how much of a lift I will get so I'm asking for help. I know I can use the faq.

somewhere around 3.5 in the front and 2.5 in the rear. you will need new UCA

So I figured out it stands for upper control arms. This is the first I'm reading about this with anyone who has done this mod. Would it be necessary if I stuck to the original plan of 1.75 in the front and 1" spacers in the rear? How much are we talking for parts? Is there anything else I'm not thinking of? Thanks.

when you get over 3 inches of lift the camber adjustment will be maxed out and can not be set to spec.

Thanks I'm going to stick to my original plan then with the 1.75 in the front , fj coils all around and 1" spacer in the rear.

i think my next step is going to 1.75 and rear spacer. im running trd off road front coil and fj rear on 5100's at .85

Sounds like we will have similar setups then! You have any pictures? Really excited for this mod. Although I think I'm a little nuts since it's almost 10 years old with 150k. Hope it lasts. What do you have for mileage on yours?

78k on the truck about 30k on the coils

I'm in a very similar situation to you. I have a 2003 V8 SR5 with just over 150K, and it's currently all stock other than tires. My original rear shocks are on the way out, and I am about to upgrade to:

- Brand new FJ coils all around
- Billstein 5100s all around set at 1.75 in front
- Cornfed 1" spacers in rear

I also have new KYB "top hats" for the front shocks rather than reusing 13 year old parts. Everything is sat in the garage ready to go. It should all be done early next week ...

Awesome, post pics when you're done and I'll do the same! Excited to breathe new life in this rig! Just got my wife a brand new SR5 so I was feeling a little jealous. This should help!
