Which tire brands tend to run wider/skinner for thier size?

I've read the Falken Wildpeak and Goodyear Duratrac tend to run wider and know for certain the Bridgestone Duelar run skinny based on Dad's F150 on 265/75s after he switched to those from Michelin LTX.

Anyway it's finally new shoe time for some 285s this week and was just curious which brands run a bit wide or skinny?

Ahhhh very nice! I've always just browsed through Discount Tire instead as they have so many more brands and it doesn't have a spec for that. I'll have to browse around and keep an eye out though I think Tire Rack may carry ever one on my list with the exception of the Nitto Grapplers.

The Wildpeak in 265 is ultra wide, basically as some 285s at 9" (without looking back into my charts, maybe 8.9)

The Wildpeak in 285 from what I recall runs wide but not crazy wide as the 265.

From what I recall, 285 width does not vary quite as much as 265, most being 9-9.5. The 265s can be anywhere from upper 7s to nearly 9.

BFG runs small in general.

I measured the stock Dunlop AT-20 at 7 3/4” and the Falken wildpeak at 8 3/4” tread width shoulder to shoulder (both 265/70r17) so the wildpeak certainly runs on the wider end of the spectrum.

My 275 Wildpeaks get mistaken for 285's all the time.
