Wood Grain trim... whats the price?

i broke my 99 limited wood grain trim... well actually the place that installed my radio did. but labor was free... so I can't really complain too loudly.

I'm talking about the trim only arround the radio/vents/power plugs... not anything else...

anyway's I'm searching for the cost of a replacement... yes I have a WTB ad up in the FS section... looking at craigslist...

but what do these actually go for?

New from toyota camelback is 327... no going to happen...
new from japan amayama.com is 200 + 20 in shipping... I'm leaning this route...

unless I can be convinced otherwise... am I giving up too early? it's bugging the crap out of me.

Why not just pull one from a wrecked limited? Could probably walk away not even having spent 50 bucks.

I agree going to a junkyard is your best bet. My local yard has a limited with the wood grain trim that I took the grille from for the satoshi mod. I'd offer to get it for you but it was from a 97 so it's different

I have not I was looking at them but never pulled the trigger because I think they just stick on with some sorta double sided tape..

I'm not sure if this would help, but I'd like to trade my "wood" trim from my '99 for non-"wood" trim. I've been planning on painting it at some point. Obviously, this would only be of interest to you if you can source plain black trim pieces for less than the wood ones. PM me if you're interested.

I'd say junkyard, too.
I believe the plastic for the woodgrain is thinner than the black/silver trim pieces and much more likely to break. I read that somewhere, and my junkyard searches have proven it to me.
I broke my woodgrain trim and simply got a black piece along with a black gearshift piece to match.
So if you find one, don't take it off and on, or risk breaking it again. Also, trim remover tools are your friend. That one clip on the top left near the vent is a *****.

For the record, if it's the original wood trim, like I have on my '99, there is real wood under that thick plastic. When mine started to delaminate, I took the plastic off all the way, and it revealed a thin veneer of real tree. I then sanded it, stained it a nicer color, and urethaned it my way. The thick clear plastic went in the trash. Looks 100% nicer than the way it was born.

So stop with the quotes.
