Worth switching to disk brakes?

There is a guy offering me the mounting plates for a rear disk conversion for $80 Can. I have a good deal on disks and calipers too. But is it really worth it?

you bet! ease of replacment, stopping power and towing ability is so much better.

ive never felt the need on either on my 85's.
one is running 35's, and the other 38s. ive never noticed a lack of brake power.

if its a good enough deal, go for it. but, make sure and get the correct calipers, if you want to retain a parking brake.

Is it all a good deal as opposed to buying a complete kit that you know has all the correct parts?

Hey OP, I know of the mounting brackets that you're talking about (well pretty sure anyway). You are aware that with that setup, you will have NO e-brake right? Just thought I'd let you know.

I don't like the feel of my brakes now that my 33s are on, I'll definitely be converting to disc brakes in the rear (along with v6 calipers up front and a bigger MC).

But $80 for an adapter is re****ed. If you don't have a buddy with a plasma table (I do ), use a cardboard pattern to get your dimensions and cut them out youself with an angle grinder.
