XM vs. Sirius

I am a XM Owner/subscriber and just signed up for O&A. After hearing them for free for a week reminded me how funny they can be at times.

But as you all know Howard Stern signed with Sirius and for those that listen to NY stations should know the Radio Chick which I heard did as well. So with all these people signing contracts with Sirius, is this the slow downfall of XM?

I believe XM is currently bigger than Sirius. There are lots of people who don't care for Howard, and are perfectly happy with XM. So I think there's plenty of room for both to continue.

I, however, will be signing up with Sirius once Howard makes the move.

I have XM and minus the few comercials here and there I love it. I didn't put it into my new 4R yet so fill me in. Are they doing the Homeless Shopping Spree this year? Anything new or exciting that has changed? I guess only subscribers can call in? Is it still like the radio show?

They did not do that, but they are playing "what's in my pants", "best fake O", and just recently they played a 5 minute MP3 that, well let's say when I got to where I had to be, I had to wait for something to get soft before I left the car. Well worth the $2 a month.

I personally like HS, but I am tired of his bitching and complaining, and O&A are just more risky than HS, and he's so into himself it's disgusting to hear sometimes. I personally rather stay with XM.

One thing I noticed with XM (not sure with Sirius) there isn't any classical stations. Not that I listen to it, but I am sure there is an audience for that. I personally could not handle running that, I would turn my gun in my direction before I go crazy.

ditto. my alpine HU is actually XM ready, but the adapters for sirius are starting to come out now. once their price drops (currently $139), i will put it in.

howards still there for another like 13 months anyhow.

I had both, and enjoy my XM more. Siruis is cool because they play all the popular songs, but it gets repetitive. Plus they like to play censored songs, while XM plays all the uncensored songs with cuss words and all....And I hear songs that I have not heard in a long time. If you are into sports, the siruis is the way, if you are into music the XM is the way...
