your thoughts on ebay gears?

I am curious to know why these are so much cheaper than other ones you find on low range.com or other 4 wheels sites. Most 529 gears run 233 on the dot usually from what I have seen. So what do you think the quality is? Has anyone tried them?

Also who makes the best gears for our trucks? What is everyone running? You should be able to buy gears for around $150 an axle from what i have seen. I have seen front gears for our runners at about $170.

and almost all gears should be fine. There is no reason for Yukon or cryo treated gears when you are only going to run 33's and keep the ifs

I got my 4.88 gears from 4wheelparts for ~$120 for the rear and ~$160 for the front in '09. One ratio shouldn't cost any more than another ratio. I don't recommend that you have 4WP do the install though. It took them a few tries to set up my front ARB - like 4 tries.

Sierra expedition had the front nitro gears for around $170, Trail gear has the gears for the rear for $159 but they usually have sales.

Yeah I'm far from impressed with 4wp. I dont want to give them any more money unless I absolutely have to. They have tried to screw me over to many times and they are far from helpfuly and way over priced.

I'll check out TG. I won't get the gears any time soon cuz i dint really need em on my 285s. Locker would be next on priorities to buy. Which speaking of, they have lockers on ebay too for around 300 and up some no name brands.
