hi!
a little background... that's my wife's 2000.
the toytec kit replaced a performance products kit which consisted of PP springs front and rear and yellow bilstiens.
the front was still good, the rear bills were good but the rear PP springs were DONE.
that setup had about 60k on it.
with the help of a buddy i installed some firestone airbags and was able to raise the rear using 5 psi but the rear was real bouncy and just didn't feel good.
so, after looking around i was going to get a full OME setup and stepped up the ultimate lift when the coupon code became available.
the difference in height with the ultimate and the PP setup is close... the ultimate is a touch higher.
both setups are between 1.5" and almost 2" over the stock suspension.
both are firmer over stock and control is way better, as expected.
if you want plush... this isn't it. if you want control and to feel planted to the road / freeway, this is for you.
on a recent trip to julian, i'm in the san diego area, we took the 78 east and traveling through the twisties was great.
when in julian with the slush no problems.
out exploring where the roads weren't as groomed everything was great... solid and worked as expected.
we're planning some overlanding this spring and will be loaded down and shouldn't have any issues and i think the rear will be a lot nicer with some weight back there.
right now with nothing in the back it can be jarring but recovers fast. with the blown rear PP springs and air bags the rear was a mess.
let me know if you have any other questions.
