With Sherpa Equipment Co. roof racks, adding a rooftop tent, cargo boxes, awnings, fuel and water containers, kayaks, bikes, and much more can all be mounted with ease. There’s also many different light mount locations on these racks, which means the possibilities for lighting are almost endless. Built into each Sherpa Equipment Co. racks are “hand-holds” that make accessing gear easy. Having to grab a solid aluminum rail without cutouts can be dangerous and uncomfortable. So, it is important to have areas that you can tightly hold onto. With some racks you have to get aftermarket handles that cost extra, the Sherpas Equipment Co. has pre-cut out hand-holds that don’t jump out from the sides, so the wind noise won’t be increased, and you won’t have something hanging off the side of your roof rail. Sherpa Equipment Co. also makes adapt plates, that provide extra surface area for mounting your offroad accessories and can double as a platform for your rack!

Another HUGE piece about Sherpa Equipment Co. that sets them apart from their competition is their mounting design. They don’t require, and actually recommend against using, silicone. Instead, they designed their mounting feet with rubber roof seals. The rubber mounts are designed to create a seal similar to what the factory rack does in order to keep everything dry. Also, many racks out there require you to move your XM antenna, or change up the configuration of their crossbars, not Sherpa Equipment Co. Their rack systems accommodate and protect it!


Sherpa Equipment Co. delivers an impressive and industry leading 1/4" thick aluminum rail on each side of their vehicle specific roof racks. This provides a lightweight and durable rack that weighs in at 55 lbs or less, while still being able to haul an impressive 300lb dynamic load (and NO we are not recommending you put your screaming kids or mother -in-law up there!!); but when you are camping, you and a few others can get up in your rooftop tent because it can hold 700 lbs. when the vehicle is not in motion.

Oh yeah, we almost forgot…most applications feature a “no-drill” installation.
