If you can't do the work yourself, you ar eprobably better off finding a 4x4 specialist.. ideall one that is a Toyota specialist.. there are a few of them dotted about.
LOVE Your Avatar, THAT looks good! May do similar treatment to my '03 V8.

My GF has a 2019 4runner in Canada. She may be moving back to the UK. Would it be possible to fit headlight deflectors and a rear fog light and pass an MOT? Also, any mods to avoid? I know full front steel bumper with bars is out. Any issues with rear steel dual swingout?

Just imported a 2016 4Runner SR5 4x4 from the US to London, England, and trying to get it Road Legal for UK Registration.
Can anyone recommend a Mechanic Shop or DIY mod to adjust my Headlights for UK roads?

Just wondering if you figured out where to get RHD headlights and what else you had to do to make your 4Runner legal, oh and what were the costs? Im thinking about this myself tho might just sell and buy a Landy when I get there.

Hello SnoRnR
If you're still looking to import your GF's 4Runner to the UK, I can help with advice and costs.
I imported my 5th Gen T4R SR5 in 2018 and it's a heap more complex than just passing the UK's MOT!
Let me know. I'm at david.harrison@penwizard.co.uk if you want to e-mail direct.
Cheers, David H

Hi,

London / South Coast 1994 V6 3.0 4Runner Owner here..

Have owned for a few years, but has been in Storage for the last couple of years..

Now needs a bit of Work to bring it back to 100[ish!]%..

Yes Rust, Chassis and Body.. Does anyone have any recommendations on Specialists..? Otherwise I know there are plenty of Body Shops that might take it on..

I live in Greece part time and I would love to import my 4Runner from the US. That would be fun!

I'm just now thinking about importing my 1999 4runner limited to portugal. I think the headlights may need to be changed. Apparently US headlights dip down, european headlights dip down and to the right. I'm not exactly sure what that even means.
Does anybody know of any other modifications that may have to be made to get a US 4runner matriculated in Portugal?
How about the Hilux Surf? I read those are almost identical to the 4runner. The 4runner was made for US and other marlkets, the Surf was made for european markets? Could headlights from a surf be used in a 4runner?
