I am planning on doing the exact same thing as you with the 881's and 891's, 5100's and 285/75/16's! (Great minds think alike) I just really needed to see pictures like yours to confirm what I wanted haha!! It looks awesome!! One general question that I have is, Can I run the 881's and 891's on my stock shocks and then buy the Bilstein 5100's when I have the money?

I have them on a switch. I thought about making a hood switch and having them automatically come on, but I figured there might be times when I don't want them on when the hood is open.

I simply have the two wires coming off of the strip; one goes straight to a grounding point (which I used a ring terminal on the stock body ground point right near the battery), and the other goes through a grommet, to a switch, back through the grommet, and finally connects with a ring terminal on the fuse box power in.

Thanks! Good choice, haha. I tried to do that, and it didn't quite work. The rear you can get away with the stock shocks, but I couldn't get the front ones to work, sadly. I'd suggest at least getting new front shocks with the coils, and then getting the rears when you can!

It's been snowy, and the roads have been dirty here recently, so everything is dirty now... but I finished the bumper, and had to share!

Whenever it decides to warm up, I'll get the final sanding and paint done, and post some real pictures. Until then, enjoy!

What a long weekend in the garage! Managed to get my new coils installed, and so far, I'm really loving the look of them!

I got a spare yesterday! I still can't use it yet though...

This was more a test to see if I'd like these wheels, and if I'd clear them. They're ProComp 7069 Series, 16x8





I'm really liking them. Clean and simple... and cheap!

I never realized how much space it would take up... Time to either get a roof rack, or build a tire swing!

So I had a bit of unfortunate happen. The other day I had a noise start coming from the front passenger side. I took off the wheel and was unable to turn it... something was locked up. Took it in the next day, and got the call: seized caliper.





With that stuck, it caused the pad to wear down to 3/32", warped the rotor, and caused some pretty interesting heat discoloration. (It's really hard to see in pictures, otherwise I'd post it.)





So as of right now I've got new front brakes, and the "I have so much more power now" feeling. It's pretty great!



On a better note, I got this in the mail!




I don't think I'll end up putting it on, but it's still pretty sweet.

I don't really know a whole lot either haha. I found a link online and it took me to a website (if I remember correctly, it was a Spanish Toyota dealer), and they were running this promotion to give your car a name. I didn't think it would work, but a few weeks later it showed up!

Your lift is similar to what I was considering, but I have seen conflicting info on running OME 881 and 5100s. I am guessing you have not had any problems? Also, did you install without the top plate spacers before adding them to know the difference in height? I am wanting a little rake, but I also do not want the driver side lean. Thanks for any help.

Nope, no problems. It's an awesome combo. In terms of the top plate spacers, I simply installed them with the coils. I was a little worried of some sort of lean, but it worked out well and didn't end up having one.
