Its time for me to get a build thread going on this thing as I have put a good amount of work into it. But first, heres what led me to owning a 2005 V8 4WD 4Runner.

Previous 4Runner

Before owning the V8 I had a 2003 Limited V6 4wd and loved it. I owned it for almost 2 years and put 20,000 miles on it, then SOLD it. The only reason for me selling it was because I wanted a V8. I just cant get over the sound of a V8 engine. They have great power and the 4.7 is one of Toyotas most reliable engines they made.

First thing I did with it was remove the Sport Edition 4WD emblem of the sides because I didn't like the fact that Toyota wrote a paragraph on the side of my car. It was just too many letters.
I also was hearing a whining sound coming from front of the drivers side of the vehicle. I jacked it up and felt play in the left front wheel, so I purchased a wheel hub kit from Amazon. Amazon.com: Dura International 29596012 Front Wheel Hub Kit: Automotive Then used a 20 ton press to press it together and installed it. The noise was gone and I was happy to save myself a couple hundred $$$.

Did not break anything offroad. Just finished putting the UCA's on yesterday. I still have some things to add to the thread.

Installed a Kicker CX 300 amplifier that I got from best buy on sale. Then got a 12" Kicker subwoofer from a sketchy guy on craigslist at a train station.

Plasti Dipped the emblems.

Installed a Uniden Pro 520xl CB radio and K30 antenna. I kept all the wires hidden under the carpet and connected the CB to the amp for the subwoffer because the 12V+ and ground was right there. I also added a smokers kit because the door on the factory compartment was broken. I don't smoke but I can use the extra 12V socket.

Thanks I need to take some pics and update it. I really like my fire extinguisher but you gotta make sure to put something like foam behind it especially with that Kicker 12".

Nice build so far, but it would look so much better if you took the running boards off.
