berettashot117:mods

well, I lurk this forum everyday, occasionally contributing my thoughts. I always love to see
build threads, yet why I dont take pictures while I'm working on a project, idk. However, I took some pictures of all mods done so far, and if your working on something similar maybe I can help you out.

2004 v8 4wd, about 130k on the odo right now. I've been taking great care of this thing, and I run to the dealership at the first sign of a problem. these aren't in any real order, but here it goes.

toytec ultimate, trail team fj wheels, general grabber 285/75/16
you can see a couple more
pics in the 4th gen lifted section.

ok mods. I love working
on this thing. again, these are in no real order..

independent use of foglight mod, thanks for the great write-up j.a. I've also done the fog/high beam mod, I just didn't want to take my steering wheel cover off to take a picture.

true dual straight exhaust dumped in front of the rear axle. no resonator, no muffler, and minus one catalytic converter. this thing is LOUD. I feel I could say it's the loudest 4runner you've ever heard lol. And believe it or not, I get better mpg's after I did this ( about 12 pre-exhaust, and now 16).

steelcraft bullbar with kc slimlites on custom brackets. this bullbar has saved me probably thousands on what would have been front end repair.. ha. this picture shows the biggest dent (a rav4 backed into me in a driveway, leaving a dent on my bullbar and doing 2400 dollars damage to him). the kc's are wired in with my high beams.

k&n cai. I love this thing. the partition is not the greatest though..

fender trim. not the prettiest, but not noticeable, really. good look at the front tow hooks too ha.

decals, steelcraft tailight guards, rear tow hook, adjustable dropped trailer ball hitch.

air horn, 100watt Wolo PA and siren, footwell light wiring.

led footwell lights. screws in the back on both sides hold the wire until
it hits the frame. I then ran the wires through the actual frame up to under the hood.

inside wiring and electronics. I have a cord coming from the rear 12v outlet up to the front to power my garmin, gps-enabled cobra radar detector, and to charge my cell phone. the 12v outlet up front stays open for my golight (remote control spotlight). jabra bluetooth speakerphone for hands-free safety ( my reflection is crazy lookin ha). oh, and the 357 as well ha.

more pics of the golight mounted. magnetic base for easy install/removal (I never just leave it up there), spotlight beam will shine about half a mile, wireless remote(didn't think to take a pic of it earlier), an wiring. has a quick disconnect on the roof that stays there, wire runs down the side of the windshield under that little lip, down into engine bay, across and then through the firewall into the cab where I plug it into the 12v outlet. I friggin love this thing, it's so badass.

I love this truck sooo damn much haha

I'm thinking about doing a 1" toytec front spacer just to get rid of the front rake with some BFG AT's or similar. Did you get a shop to do your lift or did you install it yourself?

I got ss truck on north market to do my install, but I hear that daystar makes a spacer lift that you don't have to disassemble the front strut assembly to install. you could most likely DIY with that one.

not much for offroading around here, unless you know somebody who owns some property. when I was younger (and stupider), me and my friends would ride around when or after it rained and tear up some fields or construction sites. we used to call this "muddin" haha. Illegal and disrespectful. These days I really don't take my truck offroad. I mainly built it for looks. however, there is a badass offroad park in south arkansas call superlift orv park. I plan on going there whenever I convice a couple friends to go with me. it's mainly trails, which I would like to do, and they are all rated by difficulty.

Yeah, i saw superlift, and idk if you have heard of it and there is catahoula recreation area in NE Louisiana. I'd be down to go to superlift if/whem you get a group together. Even though I would only be able to run the level 1 trails.

Sweet truck bra

On a serious note, looks good. Also, I would be down to go up there sometime if you just let me know at least a week in advance or so. Ive been wanting to take my 4runner true off-roading for a long time.

Thanks man, I wanted to make my 2WD respectable as a true 4Runner and so I gave it some off-road prowess. Although I have to say, if I could go back I would have traded mine in for a 4WD. But its still kinda cool to be the guy with the 2WD who can handle stuff that no one thinks you can.

I'm from Shreveport also and come in town at least once a month so if you every need any help on anything just let me know.
(In fact Yokem Toyota is my family's business )

Awesome man, its good to have frinds on the inside! This is my 3rd car from yokem in 2 years, and loved all of them. Way better than those guys across the river!

Thanks, we take pride in treating our customers like real people. Hopefully someday when I'm up there running the show I can do the same as grandfather.
