Just to give more ideas, here's my setup. Four light strips, the one by the cowling (bottom of pic) is a 3', the other 3 are 2'. They are cable tied to the hood liner. I'm adding a pin switch under the hood near the driver's side hood strut using a custom bracket. Right now it's 'hot wired' with clips for when I need it.
