As a father, and a husband, (here in TX) I would shoot first, ask questions later, however I wouldn't 'execute' them if they were incapacitated. I feel bad for the kids parents, and families, I really do. But at 17 I knew damn well better not to break into a strangers house, and if I did, those repercussions were nobody's except my own. And as for not calling the cops for a day, that is a bit odd, but like the aforementioned, stress does weird things to people.
