I have a related questionnaire/discussion

I'm certain most of you have experienced a shortage of ammo, magazines, and other related gun items. what is the reasoning or justification behind panic buying?

aside from the politics and what's going on with the media and gun control. yes this is relevant; however, why is it that the majority of the public will rush out and essentially consume and deplete all rations available to anything that becomes threatened. Specifically speaking of renewable items.

before all the controversy over gun control heightened, we all were able to go and purchase ample target rounds for competitions, practice, training, and recreation. On a weekly basis I could walk into a Walmart, local gun shop, or sporting goods facility and pick up what I needed for the next couple weeks. supplies are continuously manufactured so the shelfs were restored in time for further purchases. Now everyone's decided they need to buy all the ammo, guns, and accessories on the self they either have in stock at the store or what amount they can afford out of there own pocket.

I mean how many kids didnt get to get that 22lr this year for Christmas from their dad so they could shoot together. Just because someone decided they needed to purchase all the rifles a particular store had in stock even though they had an ample collection to begin with.

greed maybe? I just can't quite understand. For instance I've got maybe 50 rounds of personal defense rounds for my glock 22. I personally believe if I have to use all 50 rounds to defend myself. Odds are there's going to be another weapon to pick up if I need it, with ammo loaded. Same goes for any guns I own. I can half way understand target rounds as the demand for training, ccw classes, and recreational practice. but why the need to load up on so many.

any fireworks that leave the ground in northcarolina are illegal; however, those of us that appreciate a good ol Roman candle just drive on over to SC and purchase whatever we want no need to stock up on everything the have in stock.
