I bought the D600 with the 24 - 85 before Christmas when it was on sale, I sold off my D7000 and my DX lenses to pay for it. The 24 - 85 is a pretty good lens, but then again I like shooting wide. I just bought a 12 - 24 to go with it.

Whether to buy or wait has to do with what you are shooting now and what you are looking for in a new camera. If the D600 meets your needs then I would say go for it. Nikon just released a bunch of cameras and I wouldn't be surprised if they waited 12 - 18 months before releasing any more.
