What cameras & video cameras do you already have, etc.. blah blahh

There are a lot of 4/3 camera on sale for that price. Or save your money and buy a DLSR that takes 1080 video etc...

I have a Canon 40D I want to sell it myself. So for me I don't see a reason to buy an older DLSR unless you had a specif reason.

like you:
you have kids and want a DSLR to take fast photos ( much better tha 4/3)
your the next adam ansel and want to take landscape photo
your uncle/cousin has a canon and you can share lenses
you have a hobby you to take pictures of (car shows/rock climbing)

If it is going to be your only camera for just taking snap shots I would probably get something else. I hate lugging around my 40D. I am only doing now because I am taking a photo class ( now it is fun ). Before the photo class I probably only ever brought it out five times a year. The rest of the time I used my P&S camera.
As I already mentioned, I have a point and shoot Canon Powershot SX260 HS. It's an awesome camera and does what I want right now...

I'm primarily a landscape photographer, but I don't shoot that much or for a living, it is more of a hobby. You can see some of my work at Summit Photography - Home if you want...

I would keep my other camera if I got this... but to answer your question, it's primarily for the Great Outdoors and landscapes...
