Because he prattles on about class warfare and race warfare despite being in the highest echelons of the wealthy privileged elite and whatever "suffering" he remembers as a kid, growing up, was a carefully fabricated ruse to write his best-selling fiction novels.
The man is a fraud. He has no policies except some lofty liberal goals of environmentalism, alternative fuels, wealth distribution he uses as a talking point to enrich his donors while behind closed doors carrying on the same old crap of selling out to massively wealthy corporations and keeping the middle and lower classes poor so they thank him for paltry tax cuts and handouts.
Bush may have "ruined" the country, but "hope and change" hasn't made it any better.

Frustrating for sure getting out of a hole that was dug. But what you mentioned before is the only thing that is truly important - personal responsibility. That is something you can control and honestly the only aspect worth such energy. The rest is only what you allow it to be.
