ECU Problems

Has anyone had a problem with the ECU on a 2000 4runner sr5 losing the voltage to the Lock-up solenoid? If I disconnect the solenoid I have 12 volts leaving the ECU but as soon as I connect it no voltage. The solenoid is good I hooked it directly to the battery and it works. I have even replaced the wire going to the solenoid and still loses the 12 volts when it is hooked up. Any suggestions?
