There is no such thing as a perfect pistol but I felt that the grips on the P30 were the cats meow so it won my vote. Eventually I'll get the sig because it's just a sweet pistol as well.
I'm sure that the sig is just as reliable. Heck, I have a XD9 that cost half of what the HK cost and I'll put it right up there with anything else for reliability. As far as working on them, I'm not getting involved with pressing pins and messing with the springs. If anything crazy needs to be done then my firearms go to the pro's. I'll take them apart and clean them and maybe a touch more for deep cleaning but that's about it.

Years ago I screwed up a Ghost trigger install on a Glock (the ones you have to trim to fit, not the drop in). Ever since then, if I'm even remotely uncomfortable with a mod, it goes in for pro help.
