My D800 isn't even 6 months old so no current plans for a D810. I agree that the x10 models seem more like an update than a full on upgrade. Right now the D800 does everything I want and a lot more.

Yeah I was having a lot of AF problems with the D600, especially in low light situations that I run into a lot on the trail. Often the AF couldn't get a proper lock or was locking onto the wrong thing when using multi-point AF. Did a bunch of reading on it and it seems that low light AF is one of the things the D800 does a lot better.
