The first shot is a prime example of something that could be fixed via RAW. I'd blow one out to get the detail in the squirrel and one to get the detail of the background then merge. As it stands, the squirrel is a little dark.
The last shot, I wish was a little brighter...but the other two pelican shots are great. Good composition, good dof, etc.

i couldn't go too much brighter with the last one. brought out a shine / reflection on his beak.
but thanks for the info. i didnt know you could make those changes in raw files to adjust the background vs the main object.
