Yeah, you might be running into a lack of RAM issue. 4gb just isn't much these days. I've got 16gb of RAM and just running my computer with no programs uses around 4 gb. When you're using your computer, go into your applications folder and then into the utilities folder. Open a program called activity monitor. That will show you how much (and where) your RAM is being used.
