I plan on leaving the rims how they are for now. Rather save up and spend the money on other stuff.
My dad and I have had our share of lost rods. I guess it is all part of the sport. We had a great day on the water today. Caught some great sized mangrove snapper off a dock in town, ranging from 11 to 14". Went through 2 dozen shrimp very quickly. She is starting to get the basics down, but the casting is still a struggle. Guess it's hard for me to relate as I've been fishing since I was a few years old. Here's my other "daily driver":
