the kobalt set at lowes is laser etched for easy reading, has color coded sockets (blue for metric, red for fractional), a more polished finish and a high tooth count (72 = 5 degrees per click). Kobalt has the same over-the-counter warranty for breakage and goes one step further - if you register when you buy the set, they'll mail you individual replacement sockets for the cost of S&H if you ever LOSE one (or two or five...).
I'll probably pick up a set when I have some money to drop on it. Right now, the hand-me down and harbor freight set I have is adequate, but some of the features I mentioned above would be a nice upgrade.
