ahhh cripes, I was editing my comment when you replied. Good on you for getting it fixed properly, its too easy for a contractor to say f*k it and cover it up. Buddy of mine worked for a small business we half jokingly referred to as 'Sweep it Under the Rug Construction." Its frustratingly common.
