There's people who don't know that the **** they're doing. There's people who are on their third DUI or legal incident that we STILL have trouble kicking out because of all the hoops and paperwork we have to jump through.
Also, and this is me being a realist, if everybody was armed, my least favorite thing about the military would be the ridiculous 3hr wait in the morning and evening everyday at the Armory.

if done correctly, there would be no need for a trip to the armory. they would just maintain possession.
everyday normal citizens are allowed this right, but not those in charge of protecting the entire nation.
it really amazes me that's this is a thing. that our armed forces, our US military is unarmed. and, seems as though they like it that way? I guess which is the part that really confounds me.
