There definately needs to be a deterrant. But, as you said, no one's going to go to war over it.

I see where you're coming from as far as the NSA "hacking" other countries, but IMHO, there's a difference.

Although our economy might not be that great at the moment, we have led the way in more technological, pharmaceutical, and medical developments than most other countries.

IMHO, the United States "hacking" into another country's systems is a way for us to keep tabs on someone, and, in the interest of National Security, copy files to be able to protect ourselves, or repel an attack.

The NSA does it now through cell phones, e-mails, and internet searches.

And while the majority of people in the US think this is an invasion of privacy, look how many people have been arrested under terriorism "plots".

It's the silent ones you have to worry about.

BUT, when another country is hacking into data bases, such as Lockheed Martin, one of the MAJOR suppliers of the aircraft and defense systems that we have today, then there's a problem.

Hybrid cars, I can understand.

Pharmaceutical products, I can understand, but also worries me a bit.

Why would China need to know about the US military and civilian air traffic control systems? Are they planning an attack, and trying to figure out how to bring out systems down so we can't retailiate?
