I thought that might be a factor too but thought with the placement and coverage that might not be as much of an issue.
I looked at the PDF earlier and you're right, most of the parts aside from the motor and a few gears are interchangeable so the drain holes have to be setup the same.
But to be honest I probably won't take it apart for now. The spool out solenoid is burned up and I'm ready for the motor to go out before I take it off again, to upgrade it to the 9.5xp motor and contactor pack
Good advice for everyone with this style warn winch though!
Wonder if there are others that are designed similarly.
