The 4Runner is already tall for me. Trying to get a kayak up there
is going to be hard. Currently on my S10 Blazer I have a roller kayak system but I start with leaing the kayak on the back hatch/roof line, lifting up the bottom so the whole weight of the kayak is the car and sliding it up.
That fin thing is in the way! Looks like I'm going to have to consider giving up 4wd.
1990 was when they started putting them on, but not on every 4runner. That didn't start until 2010.
