Yes, you can put HID projectors in your highbeams. The main reason, not to use HIDs for highbeams is because it takes a few seconds for HID to fully light up. If you were driving with the HID highbeams on for a long period of time it would be ok. But if highbeams are only on when you flash them, it's hard on the ballasts and burners, shortening their life span. But most vehicles equipped with HIDs for highbeams have bi-xenon projectors. The shield is movable in bi-xenon projectors.
