You are right. You can have 7" lift.
The trick is the following: adopt 6" FJ Cruiser bracket lift with some minor changes and add 1.5" 4Crawler body lift. FJ is lighter, that's why you'll get something around 5"-5.5" of lift. 1.5" body lift is the maximum body lift you can go. Total is 6.5"-7" of lift. But be aware that you'd have to cut crossmember and this will void the warranty.
This will be more of lift for the look. More practical off-road lift is 3" suspension and 1.5" body lift, which will total to 4.5".
