Yeah I saw that thread before, where you have to stand on your left ear with the door open and kick your neighbor's dog while holding an apple between your legs. I may pop for the $30 remote, but I really want a remote start module like my 2000 has. I don't like aftermarket installers though, for obvious reasons, and I'm chock full of projects at the moment.

Wirewheeling yesterday and tomorrow. Painting this weekend if hurricane Hermine permits (might miss us). Then put her back on next week. All the parts and new fluids (coolant, P/S rack, brake fluid, diffs) are here. Getting there. I'll post in that thread after painting.
I've never actually done the programming of a new remote. I'm still with my two original remotes. I did manage to up the volume on the chirper which involves swinging a dead cat at midnight in circles around your head while cutting the head off a snake and swallowing its blood.
