HVAC temperature control knob clicking

The knob that's used to creating control the temperature keeps sticking. I am able to force it to turn but it's making a very distinct clicking sound. I located one post with someone that had a similar issue but all of my lines are properly connected. I'm thinking for reapply lubricant to the knob but I'm unsure of which to use. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to fix the issue? Thanks in advance!!
