Yeah thanks and I definitely don't expect to agree completely or even often. And I am definitely channeling a bit of frustration at the left in my response.
I just cannot stand the idea of us as a society starting to make excuses for people's individual bad actions.
The terrorism thing is just an example that keeps popping up again. I woke up this morning to news of a religious terrorist attack in France. Its so sad and preventable. The French are forced to live under such daily threats.
Culture is something the left is afraid to discuss. It is taboo to ask: does this country's culture match our country? How will integration go if the answer is "no, not really"? Are the values the same? Can we integrate them to have our values? How many people, how fast?
Europe is finding this out for themselves and it is a rough going.
Personally I believe that the moderates, the independents and yes the left need to have more frank conversations about the POSITIVES and NEGATIVES of specific types of immigration into the US. There is a balance. It is not always good or always bad. If the new left had this conversation during the Obama years I don't think we would have had Trump as president.
