After my brother pulled off the front bumper, driver side fender, and headlight, he found that the damage didn't travel any farther than the crinkled fender well. He's going to do the repairs for me so I can put my runner back on the road. Yes, he does collision repairs professionally so this is not going to be amateur hour or any kind of hack job. If all goes as planned I should be able to post up new pics before the end of the month
Edit: I wanted to add that it is possible to negotiate a higher insurance payout for a total loss. I was able to get 35% more than the original payout offer by researching the local vehicle market on my own and submitting my findings. A lot of the increase was by lowering the amount they wanted for the buyback. It didn't hurt that I had the title either.
