Isn't that an overseas source? I've heard of it but never used it before. I'm perusing the website right now.

I think they source directly from the Toyota warehouses in Japan and elsewhere, not really sure. But if you can wait a little bit and consolidate into larger orders to save on shipping its a much more economical way to go.
Amayama has parts warehouses/distribution from UAE and Japan. I use them for most of my parts when I know I have a repair coming up. If you order enough parts it makes it worth it even considering the shipping. The only downside is it can take up to 3 weeks to get some parts, but most of the time I have my parts within 7 business days.

I've spent thousands at Amayama, their prices for some items are absolutely the best. Funny coincidence, even before seeing [MENTION=148218]JZiggy[/MENTION]'s post, I just placed an order for the door seals 
. I've also bought the entire set of water and vacuum/evap hoses from Amayama.
I think it's a very wise move to be updating these soft goods that degrade with time - I am seeing more and more of them become discontinued, so it's smart to get ahead of that.

This is all really good info. Thanks for letting me know all of that. I'll give it a shot when I have a big order coming up. Sounds pretty sweet that it comes from the warehouses directly from Japan and stuff. At least you know it's not knockoff aftermarket products!

Does your clutch pedal have the rubber isolator in the clevis end piece? On my Camry, it wore out so bad it was causing clutch engagement issues:
I had it welded up to repair it and so it could stand up to the stiff pressure plate forces:

I'm not sure if it has a rubber isolator but it does have a bit of a pivot. It looks like whenever I replaced the master cylinder it came with a new one (Aisin).

The finished product! I'm pleased with how it turned out.
Paint repair turned out great.
That's funny. I'm always slightly paranoid that my neighbors will think I'm cooking meth when they see me geared up for working with 2K paint. Full face shield respirator, hoodie, pants, rubber gloves, trash bags....all normal stuff.

I've eyeballed that in the past and I don't believe mine has ever been replaced. At least I don't have a maintenance receipt for it. Mine is still in good condition and hasn't cracked or anything so from that perspective is it worth swapping anyways or leave it as is for the time being?

I replaced mine when I had my cooling system open last. It looked okay visually, but was cracking/crumbling removing the heater core hoses from it. I would recommend having one on hand to replace it the next time you have the cooling system open, and Amayama definitely has the best price on it by far.

Went a little crazy with the cosmetic updates.
4 cans of Rustoleum trim & bumper paint to refresh the flares

2 more cans to do the rear bumper plastic. Looks a bit funny being so dark black, but I'm sure it will fade before long :becky:
Next up will be sideview mirrors, using SEM trim black this time.

I did my flares in black primer last time I did them, they looked factory grey but even-toned.
I might just do them the same way again. I used way less than 4 cans lol

More mini-mods. When I first bought the truck I had to address the squeaky clutch pedal. I did a torsion spring-ectomy and replaced the pivot bushings. But that was 6 years ago, wow!
This time I did the bushings on both the clutch and brake pedal (which I had never done). Regreased all the sliding components and replaced the plunger pad that looked old and crispy.

I just got a 98 5 speed. I also have a squeaky clutch pedal and it also likes to not travel the last half inch when I release it. I had to do a turkey baster flush on the very old dot3 that was in the master cylinder and while that helped a lot I still get that stuck on the last bit of travel thing. I thought I might need to bleed the line but now you've got me wondering if it's just old bushings that are sticking on me. It's got 270k on it and I would assume it's never been touched. Doesn't seem to affect the shifting (it is a bit notchy but idk if that's just normal for these and I know that could be the shifter bushing) but it sure as hell is annoying to have to lift it up with my foot to allow me to use the cruise control.

The not-returning clutch pedal was the beginning of the end for my clutch MC, I ended up having to replace it after the internal seals failed. Shifting became night and day better after replacing the MC.
The spring swap was easy and it eliminated the squeak

Good to know. If it is that at least it's a quite cheap and looks to be fairly easy replacement. Seems like bleeding it is more of a pita than the actual swap.
