What usually works for me, Stewmatic508, is:...a factory
RESET of the
Mainbody ECU Compu & PCM!" It'll RESET ALL the computers (about 26-27; depending on the Trim Level)! To do this, disconnect the NEG battery (minimum of 4 hrs or over night)!
When you re-connect the truck will start, run for two seconds, then shut-down (This is Normal)! Start it back up... now ALL
"IN-ACTIVE" Codes will be deleted; if the truck runs erratically, or performs poorly, the problem is
"ACTIVE!"
...so cannot be
RESET that way at this time! So now you're looking for the real culprit...e.g., Fuel Injector, wiring to the ignition coils or fuel-pump,
VVT-i...etc! But for now, just
"KEEP IT SIMPLE"
