I have
2008 4runner v8 AWD
had a problem with multi sensor (
loss of communication with YAW-LATERAL ACCELERATOR- STEERING ANGLE SENSORS) with non erasable codes & OBD II DEVICE couldnt get any POWERTRAIN codes (can not get to engine).
Did everything can be done with no success.
Finally decided to try replacing the ECM with a one from junk yard.
The
PART number not the same but also 4runner v8 AWD CAR.
THE OBD II had the access to the engine & read codes of the immobilizer and get into ABS & cleared all the codes.
My concern is
if I programmed the immobilizer
with ECM with the different part # can i loose other options on the vehicle.??
&
if i got same part number for the same car model & specifications and reprogram it to my immobilizer is it ok or there is also a chance to loose some options??
