I use Toyota filters as they are a third of the cost of aftermarket and they come with all O-rings plus the plastic drain insert. BUT, only a small amount of oil actually seems to drain, then when I use the socket to unscrew the cannister a TON more oil drains out? Why would it not fully drain the housing? It ends up covering my socket, hands, housing, tools etc in oil, which is not a HUGE deal to clean off with some brake clean, but why would there even be a drain if it does so little? Am I doing something wrong?
