What spring perch to match 890s

Well, the title kinda says it all, I bought a set of 5100s with TRD springs and will be buying OME 890s for the rear of my 97 once I recoup some funds. The fronts are on the 2nd perch right now, I have the stock bumper and dont want much if any rake. Should I stay on the 2nd perch or go to the third, I have searched but no one really gives any info about it.

So no one knows? When I searched I found a lot of people saying what they set them on with LC rears, but not 890s. Does anyone at least know how much lift each perch is supposed to provide?

Tundra or Tacoma/4Runner?

Which 5100's do you have?
The Tundra 5100's have 5 notches, while the Tacoma/4Runner 5100's have only 3.

I have the tundra 5100s with the 5 settings, I too am interested in this same question

I have the tundra 5100s with the trd springs, I saw a build yesterday that had them on the 3rd perch and it looked good so I think I will do that and get some trim packers if I need a little more in the rear. I am still up for suggestions, though.

With my Tundra 5100's on the 2nd perch, I had approx 2 1/4" of lift - stock bumpers. Now I'm on the 3rd perch, I have approx 2.75" of lift with winch and front bumper.

Thank you rickashay, I have actually read through your review (several times, awesome write up) and that is what made the deciding factor to go with the 890s. Thank you for posting how much lift they gave you with each setting. Did you ever try the 3rd perch with stock bumper, I assume not or you would have mentioned it.

To figure out the amount of lift per perch, measure the distance from the bottom perch (which is a stock height) and multiply by .43, this will give you the amount of lift you will receive.

I was actually on the 3rd perch for a brief time with the factory bumpers. I did not measure the lift height though unfortunately....

Ok, thanks guys for all the help, I just stumbled across the superflex coils so I think Ill be going with those and the fronts on the 3rd perch. I am so glad I found this forum!
